Hochschule für Gesellschaftsgestaltung (HfGG)

The Hochschule für Gesellschaftsgestaltung (HfGG) is a young, privately-run university based in Koblenz.

Its mission is to empower people to shape this society - in the midst of today's crises. To this end, it teaches and conducts research on topics relating to a sustainable world: a vibrant and diverse natural environment, a society based on solidarity and democracy, and a fair and viable economy. At the same time, the HfGG is actively involved in science and practice. The Hochschule für Gesellschaftsgestaltung has developed a special educational concept of transformative learning that strengthens people in their motivation to take meaningful action in the world and places each and every individual at the center of all learning. The focus of both education and research is no longer on abstract knowledge, but on the ability to create. In doing so, it addresses people not as isolated individuals, but as cooperative creators within social and ecological contexts.
