Dr. Peter W. Heller | Executive Director
Dr. Peter Heller is the co-founder and executive director of the Canopus Foundation. He studied economics and philosophy at the universities of St.Gallen, Lausanne (Switzerland) and Freiburg (Germany) and holds a PhD degree in economics. From 1990 to 1997 he was deputy mayor for environmental protection at the Freiburg city council. He is co-founder of the Basel Agency for Sustainable Energy (BASE) and member of the board of trustees of BASE Foundation in Basel (Switzerland). Peter is the founder, owner and executive director of forseo GmbH, an independent investment company dedicated to promote start-ups in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency. He is chairman of the supervisory board of Streb AG.
Inge Oeben | Executive Assistant
Inge is a qualified foreign-language secretary and HR manager. She played a crucial role in setting up two companies in the areas of R+D and Medical Technology from start-up to certification. Prior to joining Canopus, Inge was employed as HR manager in a mid-size B2B dialogue marketing center with a focus on business, law and tax software. As Executive Assistant at Canopus Inge is responsible for Office Management, Human Resources and Finance.
Julia Heller | Project Manager
Julia is project manager in the Canopus team. She is the organiser and coordinator of the second Solar for All contest. Julia has a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Business Management from King's College London and a M.Sc. in Global Politics from the London School of Economics. She has acquired work experience in the UK, US, French and German renewable energy sectors. Prior to joining Canopus, Julia managed the rollout of an online solar installer rating program in the UK, assisting a team of web developers and was responsible for administration, marketing, strategy and business development.
Roman Ritter | Portfolio Manager
Roman Ritter works as Portfolio Manager for Solar for All. He has more than 15 years of experience in the field of rural electrification. Previously, he worked in the German solar industry and was program manager at GIZ’s predecessor organization GTZ. Roman holds a Masters degree in economics and is a trained banker.
